Join us this October for a special Power Lunch at Sweet Melissa’s Good Eats in Howland.Attendees will hear from Sarah Braun, a social worker, nonprofit professional, and co-owner of Modern Methods Brewing Company, whose career reflects a dedication to strengthening communities and bringing people together.

Sarah’s passion for community extends across both her professional work and her journey as a small business owner. With 15 years of professional and volunteer experience in the nonprofit sector, she has worked to improve access to behavioral health services, quality education, and nutrition support. She currently serves as the Northeast Ohio Program Manager with Produce Perks Midwest, helping address the conditions that shape health and well-being.

Sarah and her husband also own and operate Modern Methods Brewing Company in Warren, where they live with their two young children, two dogs, and a turtle. Drawing on her experience in social work and entrepreneurship, Sarah will offer a thoughtful perspective on building connections, supporting communities, and balancing the many roles that come with work, business ownership, and family life.

Sarah holds a bachelor’s degree in Community Health and Sociology from Brown University and a master’s degree in Social Work from Columbia University. In her very limited free time, she enjoys cooking, attempting to garden, sailing, and being near the water.

Join us on Thursday, October 29 at noon at Sweet Melissa’s in Howland, located at 8220 East Market Street, Warren, OH 44484 (Howland Plaza), for an afternoon of connection, conversation, and inspiration with a room full of incredible women who continue to support and uplift one another, with a complimentary lunch provided by Platt Insurance.
